From understanding, bilateral talks are held between countries, represented by accredited representatives; that is why media reports suggesting that the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Mr. Williams Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo had travel to Berlin, Germany, to hold bilateral discussions with Chancellor Merkel, smacks of ignorance.
Although, intelligence gathered by The Informer within NPP circle has it that, Akufo-Addo was in Berlin, essentially, to receive medical attention, his 30-minute lobbying-interaction with the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Dr. Angela Merkel, was turned into a bilateral conversation. Likening private conversations to bilateral discussions, Madam Aboshie Sai Coffie, desperately looking for an opportunity to project his leader, decided to fuel this hoax, during an interview with Joy FM, as if she has no idea about the conditions under which bilateral talks are held.
According to reports, the two political leaders met for half an hour to discuss a wide range of issues, with the centrepiece being the development of Ghana/German bilateral relations. Forgetting that his �all die be die� mantra was what Kennedy Ohene Agyapong applied, the NPP presidential candidate was also reported to have pledged his commitment to the peace and stability of Ghana and the country�s democratic dispensation, ensuring a free, fair and transparent elections, come December 07, which he has already declared his intention to win power �at all cost� He told the German Chancellor of his vision to transform Ghana, as if of all the years he served in government as a Minister and Member of Parliament (MP) for Abuakwa South, he had been able to do something extra-ordinary to change the lives of his constituents before talking about the entire population of this country.
Amidst the entire stinking dossier on him, the NPP leader has refused to accept the fact that another defeat is awaiting him come December 07, and lobbying to meet with some world leaders and claiming to be holding bilateral discussions with them, when he has no such powers to do so.
In fact, Aboshie Sai Coffie should come again and expose this flagbearer�s ignorance of the difference between a lobbied private conversation and bilateral talks.
