University of Ghana called to lift ban on campus politics

Leadership of the Inter-party Youth Committee, IPYC, is demanding from authorities of the University of Ghana to lift with immediate effect the ban on political party activities at the University of Ghana Campus. According to IPYC Chair, Ludwig Hlodze, the decision by the University of Ghana to disallow the operation of political parties on campus amounts to the stifling of the country's human resource and capital, because the University serves as a nursing ground for many political ambitions. Mr. Hlodze made the point when the Committee paid a courtesy call on the presidential candidate of the Peoples National Convention, PNC, Hassan Ayariga in Accra.
