If At Nana Addos Age, Hes Not Gone For A Check-Up Within The Last 12months, Ghanaians Should Be Worried

Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr, is of the opinion that if the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has not gone for a medical check-up in the last 12 months, then Ghanaians should be worried about his health status, particularly when he is aspiring to become President of this country. Contributing to a panel discussion on Radio Golds Alhaji and Alhaji programme, Kwesi Pratt pointed out that doctors always recommend that anyone above the age of 40 years, should undergo regular health checks, thus if the presidential candidate of the NPP has failed to do that, his health is at stake. He was commenting on the furore generated by concerns over the health status of President J.E.A Mills and the statement issued by Nana Addo wishing him (Mills) well on his medical check-up abroad. Can anybody in truth say that over the last 12 months Nana Akufo Addo has not gone for any medical check-up? And indeed if at his age, over the last 12 months, he has not gone for any medical check-up then we should be worried...because doctors advise that once you attain the age of 40, if you want to be responsible and if you take your health seriously, then you should at least, once a year, go for a medical check-up. Even the dentist advices us to check our teeth once or twice a yearso if anybody will argue that over the last one year Akufo Addo has not gone for any medical check-up, then we should be worried.he said. He, however, quickly opined that if the NPP flagbearer has always heeded the counsel of his medical practitioners by going for routine check-ups yet nobody ever sent him a message wishing him well, then it was unnecessary and mischievous on his (Nana Addo's) part, to have sent a good will message to President Mills. However, if he has gone for a medical check-up, did his party or family send him good will messages when he was going for the medical check-up? If not, why was that done to President Mills? Kwesi Pratt quizzed. Meanwhile, President Mills is expected to return home from his 10 day routine medical check-up in the USA on Monday.
