Accra Media Reigns Supreme Over Kumasi Media After Fiesta Win

Romeo Oduro struck late to clinch a priceless 2-1 victory for the Accra media against their colleagues from Kumasi on Sunday. The TV Africa Sports Journalist chipped the ball over the on-rushing Kumasi goalkeeper with three minutes left to play in the curtain raiser of the Star Soccer Fiesta at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. It was however the Kumasi-based Media team that took the lead within the first fifteen minutes through Kessben FM�s Tony Afriyie. He latched onto a through ball from Kofi Frimpong to coolly slot home to the delight of their home fans. The rude awakening was all that the Accra Media needed as they proceeded to play some delightful football which drew the admiration of majority of the fans who turned up support their opponents. It was during one of those moves that Patrick Osei-Agyemang (Countryman Songo) turned his marker to drive home the equalizer. The celebration that followed epitomized his usual assertion that when give the chance he could be the prolific striker the public crave for in the Black Stars. The Kumasi Media at this point were well set up for the killer punch to be delivered in the second half as the first ended one all. It was however the host who took the initiative in the second half but a combination of poor finishing and good goalkeeping denied them the lead. They honestly didn�t deserve to lose the game on account if their spirited second half display but lady luck rather smiled on their guests as a long clearance from defence turned into a great assist for Oduro who was left one-on-one with the goalkeeper and made no mistakes in finding the target.
