Kennedy Agyepong...Prez Mills Should Step Down

Outspoken New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Assin North, Kennedy Ohene Agyepong has called on President Mills to step down and allow a more competent person to take over affairs of the country. This he said is due to the fact that President Mills poor health has made him incapable of checking the corrupt practices going on in his government. Mr. Agyepong made this known at a meeting with the East Ayawaso constituency [Nima] branch of NPP. His statement comes on the heels of controversies surrounding the presidents visit to the US for a routine medical check-up. President Mills is unable to check the corrupt malpractices going on in his government because of his sickness. He must therefore step aside, he said. According to him President Mills is not as strong and healthy as he used to be when he was a lecturer at the University of Ghana explaining that today the man is sick and that has made him incapacitated. That he said is the true state of the president asking, Why are people afraid to say the truth that president Mills is indeed a sick man? In other parts of the world presidents are made to declare the true state of their health, he noted saying in Ghana we dont take things of that nature serious that is why we are not moving forward as a nation. He said "information available to me indicates that if not for the fact that President Mills is sick, he wouldnt have allowed members of his government to dupe the nation as they are doing now. Mr. Agyepong said If Atta Mills claims that he loves Ghana then he should step aside for somebody else who is more capable to come and manage the country. He urged all Muslims to vote for the NPP because of Dr. Bawumia, who is a true Muslim and has the capacity to change the fortunes of people living in Zongo communities. He also called on Christians to vote for Nana Addo due to the fact that he is not a hypocritical Christian and has the ability to create the better Ghana we all crave for. Mr. Agyepong said he has forgiven persons in the NDC that conspired to have him arrested and charged at court. He said the arrest has rather made him more popular both in Ghana and abroad. He promised to give scholarships to 20 needy but brilliant students in Nima.
