Woyome's Lawyers Amend Writ Against Raymond Archer

Lawyers for embattled businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome say they have amended the writ of summons filed against the Managing Editor of the Enquirer Newspaper for libel. Mr. Woyome dragged Raymond Archer to court over two publications. One claimed the businessman stole money from his former Employer M-Powapak. The other publication claimed Mr. Woyome once stole secret tape recordings of a kick-back scandal involving former President Kufuor and gave them to the national security as part of efforts to help kill the story. The Enquirer has reported today that the Accra Fast Track High Court hearing the case struck it out. But one of Mr. Woyomes Lawyers, Evans Anaba in an interview with XYZ News said the Enquirer Newspaper is making fetish out of a very insignificant and normal court proceeding regarding amendment of writs. What happened yesterday is a daily occurrence in court, if you are a lawyer u should know these things He said. Mr. Anaba added that amendments here and there are a daily occurrence, it is nothing out of the blue but I was surprised when they tried to give it all this unnecessary media hype.
