The Friends of Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings (FONKAR) have fully endorsed the formation of a new party by the Rawlingses. The spokesperson for the Rawlingses, Kofi Adams on Adom FM indicated that the former first couple intends forming a new political party. This revelation has authenticated Citi News earlier report that plans have been far advanced by the Rawlingses to form a new political party. Speaking to Citi News, a leading member of FONKAR, Ernest Owusu-Bempah, said the group fully endorsed the formation of the new party. �FONKAR is ready and it will support any move by the Rawlingses and if you say Kofi Adams has made a statement pointing to that direction all that I will say is that FONKAR will support anything the Rawlingses desire to do.� He emphasized, �At the end of the day it will not surprise anybody if a new vehicle is put in place for us to take the values and principles that formed the NDC party to its final destination; definitely FONKAR will join the new party.�
