The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, has described the leadership Ghana has been afforded with under the 3� year rule of President John Evans Atta-Mills and his Vice John Mahama as weak. In an exclusive interview with the New Statesman, Sir John, as he is popularly referred to, said President Mills in his 3� year-rule has proved beyond all reasonable doubt that he is a weak and hypocritical leader who has not achieved anything despite having more money than any other President in Ghana's history. According to Sir John, President Mills� record of �un-presidented� achievements has proven beyond all reasonable doubt that he is not a good leader and he has been the worst performing constitutional President Ghana has had. Sir John further warned Ghanaians that another four years for President Mills and the NDC would mean endangering the future of the youth, the continued depreciation of the cedi, growing culture of impunity and corruption and the continued collapse of businesses across every part of the country. Cataloguing a number of incidents that have happened under President Mills� administration, Sir John stated that Mills� actions and inactions during this period have left Ghanaians worried about that the weak leadership being provided by President Mills, coupled with his hypocritical attitude of �hear no evil, see no evil and act against no evil�, so long as it is against his political opponents and tilted towards his electoral advantage. Sir John maintained that it was only under President Mills' administration that corruption had been described as an indiscretion, adding �but for corruption, how could a responsible government allocate in its budget about GH�642 million for the payment of judgment debts?� According to Sir John, President Mills pretends to have beliefs, opinions, virtues, qualities and standards that he does not actually have. �He preaches decency in political discourses, but watches on while his appointees use unprintable words on their political opponents. In fact, it is only President Mills who rewards his insulting and abusive ministers with superior ministerial portfolios,� Sir John added. He continued, �He has failed to practice the virtues that he preaches and Ghanaians have awoken to the fact that he is nothing but a hypocrite.� Sir John further noted that it is only under this current NDC administration that a sitting President has been challenged by a member of his own party in just two years of being in office. This, according to Sir John, represented an admission of failure on the part of Mills and lack of confidence in the leadership of President Mills. Again, Sir John noted that acts of impunity by rampaging party foot soldiers, described as the �fourth arm of government� by some political observers, went unchecked by the Mills administration. �These foot soldiers went about seizing toilets, car parks, toll booths, burning regional party structures and at a point in time besieged their party headquarters and locked their party officials. Mills' reason for these acts of lawlessness was to say that the foot soldiers were jobless,� Sir John lamented. �This is not the leader Ghanaians need to transform their lives from a poverty-stricken one to one of prosperity. Our economy will sink deeper into the ocean of socioeconomic destruction if we mistakenly re-elect President Mills and his failed administration into office in December�, Sir John added.
