CPP To Create More Than Three Million New Jobs When Voted To Power

CPP, Flagbearer Dr Michael Abu Sakara Foster has promised to create three to four million new jobs in his first term in office if he is elected president in the December polls. He said he will achieve this feat through targeted state investment in agriculture, manufacturing and infrastructure as well as complementary private sector investments. Dr Abu Sakara was speaking in Accra in the first of the 2012 Evening Encounter with Presidential Candidates by the IEA under the auspices of the Ghana Political Parties Programme. Dr Sakara said his vision and that of the CPP is to create a society where no one has any anxiety about the basic means of life, work and shelter, and where there is no poverty and illiteracy. A society in which disease is brought under control and its educational facilities provide all children opportunities to fully develop their potentialities. Meanwhile, the NDC has reaffirmed its decision not to participate in this year's Presidential and Vice Presidential debate being sponsored by the Institute of Economic Affairs. In an interview with Radio Ghana, the Propaganda Secretary of the Party, Richard Quashigah said the debate does not offer the party what it wants in terms of sending message to the public.
