Ace broadcaster and host of Ghana�s premium morning show, �Kokrokoo� on PeaceFM, Kwami Sefa Kayi, believes whichever political party come up tops in this year�s General Elections, will achieve that feat by a very small margin. He was speaking in an exclusive interview on the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC�s) �Network Africa� programme after his historic trip to the UK to light and run with the Olympic Torch. The hugely-talented and versatile presenter, on Sunday, July 1st, made history when he became the first Ghanaian resident in the country to actually lit and ran with the Flame on the forty-forth day of the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay. On that historic day, the Olympic Flame also visited Shakespeare's birthplace on its journey from Birmingham to Coventry. But the most momentous aspect of its Day 44 journey was when 51 year old Steve Sanday, who has devoted 25 years of his life to the cubs and scouts in the local community in Kenilworth, handed the flame to Ghana�s own Kwami Sefa Kayi. With his shining bald-head, the indefatigable Sefa Kayi, who was nominated by Samsung, one of the Presenting Partners of this year�s Olympics to share in this once-in-a-lifetime experience, shed some pounds off when he carried the Flame through Kenilworth on the Coventry road with crowds of people eagerly cheering him on. Later in an interview on BBC�s �Network Africa� programme, he described the experience as �awesome� and �humbling�, adding, it was more akin to a dream. �It was not to be told, it was awesome; awesome, humbling and you could feel the adrenaline. You just can�t let the memory go�,� he said. Pressed to know if he will trade in his torch for some cash, Sefa Kayi emphatically said �no�, for now, even though the torch is reported to be going for a whooping 100,000 pounds on Ebay (according to a bloggger, baahduodu.com). When asked what issue is the most topical currently in the country, Chairman General said Ghanaians are now mostly pre-occupied with the 2012 elections and the issue of judgement debts. �Well, there is the issue of the (upcoming) elections on people�s mind right now, there is the issue of a judgment debt�the famous one is one involving Alfred Woyome and a recent one, Construction Pioneers�,� he said. Touching on this year�s election, Sefa Kayi said: �in my own view, I think it will be 50-50; whoever will win, will win by a small margin,� he said.
