I Did Not Force Students To Attend Campaign Launch - Victor Smith

The Eastern regional Minister Victor Smith has explained to XYZ News that some Senior High School Students seen at his campaign launch were not forced to be there. According to him, the students have every right to know who their parliamentary candidate is and why to vote for him. The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the region chided the minister for allowing students to abandon their studies and attend his campaign launch. But Ambassador Smith stated that he allowed the students to attend the program because they had requested to do so since most of them are qualified voters. He further noted that their presence gave him the opportunity to spread his message to the students most of whom will vote in the December polls. "The students who are entitled to vote need to know who to vote for, it is as simple as that" Mr. Smith said. You cannot ask somebody to go and vote when there three or four candidates speak for their vision for the people of Abuakwa, how will they vote.
