Auditions for the Northern Belt of this year�s Miss Ghana beauty pageant will take place today at the Picorna Hotel in Tamale, officials have said. The auditions according to Exclusive Events Ghana, franchise holders and organizers of the Miss Ghana event, will run from 9am this morning through to 5pm in the evening. Contestants will be carefully selected by a special judging panel that includes Shaida Buari, Miss Ghana 2002, Mimi Areme, Miss Ghana 2009, and Shika Obeng, Executive Director of FC Beauty Clinic and two other guest judges. The judges will take into consideration factors including but not limited to poise, elegance, eloquence, intelligence, beauty with a purpose and sense of direction. Selected contestants will then be properly groomed through an exciting reality show that would be shown on national television ahead of the grand finals in Accra. There will be no weekly evictions. After today�s auditions in Tamale, that of the Middle Belt, which comprises of the Ashanti, Brong Ahafo and Eastern regions will hold at the Golden Tulip Hotel on the 17th of July while the Southern Belt, which is made up of the Greater Accra, Volta, Western and Central regions will take place on the 24th of July, at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra.
