Orlando Wellington, according to citifmonline.com sources tendered in his resignation on Tuesday at the Ghana Football Association. Mr. Wellington was the assistant coach to Sellas Tetteh when Ghana conquered Africa and the World in 2009 to win the under 20 World Cup. He has come under severe criticism for recent poor performances with the team and has over the last year and a half failed to win any silverware for the country after taking over as head coach. The Black Satellites played out a 2-2 draw with Namibia in the first match of the three-nation U-20 tournament on Sunday July 8 which was the last straw that broke the camels back for him, pushing him to take the decision.
