rlg Communications To Break New Grounds In West Africa, Asia Markets

The Chief Executive Officer of rlg Communications, Mr Roland Agambire, has announced the intention of the company to enter the rest of the West African market with the rlg brand of phones and tablets, as well as laptops. We will expand from Nigeria and Gambia into Togo and Cote dIvoire early next year. We will also be in China because of the proximity to the raw materials and break through the Asian market, he said in an interview with the Graphic Business in Accra. To make its presence felt, he said the company had decided to strategically position its product office in Dubai to ensure some kind of equity and globalisation because that is where you will find a lot of transiting points out of other parts of the world. That is rlgs stands; to globalise itself by carrying the Ghanaian flag across the world and make it a Ghanaian thing. Our vision is still in progress and we will continue to fight and create relevance in the sub region first and then globalise ourselves in the long run. He added, In the next 10 years, rlg needs to create its own technology that has to be with software and hardware, our own made-in-Ghana knowledge based on engineers that are able to think, create and disseminate information that can be sold across the world. Mr Agambire said the company intended to put rlg in every corner of the world, as it is now the brand that people know today. We want to do this in a manner no one has ever done before, he said, adding that Once others have been able to do it, why not Ghana and who says that when you come from this part of the world you cannot dominate in terms of wealth creation and in terms of creating opportunities. Meanwhile, rlg is set to take the phone tablet market by storm with the introduction of its first Fusion tablet on the Ghanaian market. The company admits that it has taken a long time to introduce its tablets onto the market but stated that the time was now ripe to hit the market with what is described as a tablet with a difference. Unlike the basic androids on the market, rlg intends to first introduce the Fusion tablet. The company took almost one year to develop the Fusion tablet but is sure of hitting the market with the best. The launch of the new Fusion tablet comes at a time when some international brands such as the ipad from Apple, the recently launched Google Tablet and Galaxy tablet from Samsung have dominated not only the Ghanaian market but the world as the most trusted brands. He added, we have also taken our time to look at the capacity of the memory of the ones on the market and as a result we have an external four gigabyte memory that allows you to store a lot of files. We also looked at the android system at the time it was 2.0 and its now 4.0 but this is just the beginning of our basic tab. We also wanted to create a long lasting talk time to enable our battery last for 48 hours because of the heavy work people might do on it through Google. So we have 500,000 apps which is the android application. It is by this extension that rlg, he said, had an association with Google so that rlg computers, phones and tablets could have the goggle chrome as its basic outlook. Mr Agambire said rlg would introduce an array of tablets such as the Fusion two and Fusion three, all of which would have 4.0 gigabytes and discreet size in terms of sensitivity and technology. We will use other powerful systems to generate a lot of interest in the tablet market.
