Richmond Boakye-Yiadom Set For Juventus Medical

Ghana youngster Richmond Boakye-Yiadom will undergo medical at Juventus on Wednesday morning ahead of his proposed move, MTNFootball.com can exclusively reveal. If successful, the 18-year-old will sign a four-year deal reported to be worth US$ 5m which is 50% of Boakye's transfer rights. The Genoa player will become the second Ghanaian player to sign for the Italian champions this summer after Kwadwo Asamoah. He will join Antonio Conte's squad for pre-season to justify his inclusion for a first team. "We arrived last night and everything has been sorted out now. The medical is tomorrow and that will finalize his transfer," his agent Oliver Arthur told MTNFootball.com. "They (Juventus) have agreed to send for pre-season. If he fails to make the grades for a place in the first team, there are other good options available for a loan spell." Boakye-Yiadom spent last season on loan at Serie B side Sassuolo where he hugely impressed. He scored nine goals to help the club advance to the semi-final of the promotional play-offs. Boakye-Yiadom attracted attention in Italy when he scored on his Serie A debut for Genoa as a 17-year-old two seasons ago. He moved to Italy in 2009 after agreeing a six-year deal with Genoa from then lower division Ghanaian side Bechem United.
