'NDC Must Not Waste Time On Martin Amidu'

A Presidential staffer at the Office of the President, Alhaji Halidu Haruna has admonished members of the ruling National Democratic (NDC) to ignore the former Attorney General Martin Amidu because his recent utterances were borne only out of bitterness. According to him, the actions of Mr. Amidu since he was booted out of office as A-G showed he was bitter, hence his attack on the government. Mr. Martin Amidu was removed as attorney general early this year for misconduct according to the official statement by the chief of staff. He has since attacked the government and his own party by putting out what he has described as epistles by a citizen vigilante. His latest attack was on deputy minister for information, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa accusing him of pleading for monies to be paid as judgement debtto Spanish company Isofoton SA. However, speaking on Asempa Fms current affairs show Kukurantumi Saturday, Alhaji Halidu Haruna noted that since Martin Amidu had nothing doing he wanted to be heard by the public. I can say that what Martin Amidu is saying should never be taken seriously for even a second because he is lying. He is only peeved and wants to sacrifice somebody so nobody should take him serious. If NDC will hear me, we should always talk about our achievements and ignore his so-called epistles. He is just bitter, Haruna asserted. The member of the NDC communications team stressed that Martin Amidu's aim was to see the party lose power but insisted that will never materialize because the government was focused and will not waste time on his effusions. Look! If you are bathing and a mad man comes for your towel, will you also leave and chase after him? No, because you will also be labeled as mad person so NDC should throw his statements into the dustbin and focus. Commenting on the controversial Isofoton SA judgement debt, Halidu Haruna called for the immediate arrest and prosecution of former chief of staff, Kwadwo Mpiani for causing it. He claimed it was Mr. Mpiani who abrogated the contract of the Spanish company Isofoton SA, thus causing the country a $1.3 million judgement debt. I understand Kwadwo Mpiani is not in the country but I am entreating the BNI and the security agencies to arrest him at the airport when he arrives. "Why is he causing the nation so much like that? Every judgement debt is based on the actions and inaction of Kwadwo Mpiani. How can we live in a country like that? He must not be allowed to go when he is returning from his trip Haruna maintained.
