Contractors working on GET-Fund projects in the Central Region have made an urgent appeal to President John Evans Atta Mills to use his good offices to facilitate the payment of their money to ease financial difficulties confronting them.
Mr Kweku Aggrey, Central Regional Public Relations Officer of the Contractors Association who made the appeal at Gomoa Aboso in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region, said currently most of the contractors were facing financial problems due to the non-payment for projects done for the government.
The contractors said the delayed payment of their money had had serious negative repercussions on their businesses and their families.
He said majority of the projects the contractors executed were classroom blocks to replace schools under trees.
