Add Rawlings To NDC Campaign Or Wed Vote Skirt & Blouse - Group

About 5000 members of a group calling itself the Tamale NDC Founders have threatened to vote skirt and blouse in the upcoming December 7 general elections if the partys founder Jerry Rawlings does not join the campaign trail. They are convinced that the ruling NDC would not have won the 2008 elections without the overwhelming support of former President Jerry Rawlings. Musah Hamza, Vice President of the group raised this concern at a news conference in Tamale. He warned that the Northern region which has been tagged as the NDCs World Bank is likely to turn into a rural bank come December 7 if pragmatic steps are not taken to reconcile Jerry Rawlings and President John Mills who currently is the NDCs leader. Musah Hamza took a swipe at the NDC General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah and Deputy Minister for Information, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa over their incessant attacks on the party founders personality. He debunked the NDC General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketiahs claim that the party can win the upcoming elections without Jerry Rawlings. According to Musah Hamza, the NDC has always enjoyed monopoly over the northern votes as a result of Jerry Rawlingss legacy. He recounted the NDC party founders unprecedented records in the areas of rural electrification, education, safe water delivery, tarred roads and mechanized agriculture as some of Jerry Rawlingss major achievements.
