A group called the Social Democratic Alliance (SODA) is the latest to wade into the judgments debts saga describing the President Kufour administration as reckless in abrogating lawful contracts. The group has described the then NPP administration as irresponsible for saddling the state with huge financial liability citing the �ISOFOTON� issue as a case in point. In a Press statement signed by the General Secretary of the group Lord Koranteng Hamah, he blamed successive governments for the current situation the country finds its self in with regards to the payment of judgments debts. Speaking to Gold News the general secretary of the group added his voice to the call for a presidential commission to enquire into all judgments debts, contract abrogation and related matters as a matter of urgency. He observed that the two major political parties in the country have caused the country a fortune by unlawfully abrogating contracts based on their political beliefs without taking into consideration the welfare of the ordinary school children who could have benefited from these funds. He further added that �those who caused the judgment debts should be brought to book for the law to take its course because the law is not a respecter of persons�. Lord Hamah stated that his group is committed to direct democracy and transparent governance in aid of the struggle for social justice, security, prosperity and happiness of the working people of Ghana advising the citizenry to desist from supporting politicians blindly because of the allegiance to them.
