GFA To Appoint Permanent Black Satellites Coach In August

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) will name a permanent coach of the Black Satellites in August. The Under-20 side is currently being managed by assistant Black Stars coach Maxwell Konadu on the interim basis. Konadu was appointed last two weeks after the resignation of Orlando Wellington, whose abysmal performance incurred the wrath of the public to call for his head. The former Asante Kotoko coach has been tasked to lead the team to advance to the final stage of the Africa Youth Championship qualifiers against Uganda. Ghana will take on the east Africans in the first leg in Kampala this weekend before honoring the return leg in Accra two weeks later. GFA president Kwesi Nyantakyi told Goal.com Ghana that Konadu will be replaced after the two matches against Uganda to allow him concentrate on the Black Stars. Assistant coach Prince Owusu is one of the favourites to step in.
