Accra Brewery Limited (ABL) has appointed a new Financial Director, Mr. Graham Henry Lurie to take charge of the financial affairs of the company. Mr. Lurie, whose appointment took effect on 1st July, replaces Mr. Urvesh Desai, who has been re-assigned to SABMiller�s Zambia subsidiary. Mr. Lurie has been working with SABMiller, the parent company of Accra Brewery Limited, since 2004 during which period he has served in various roles in several locations. Some of his recent roles include Senior Financial Manager with SABMiller Africa & Asia (Pty) Ltd; Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Executive, responsible for analysis of Africa & Asia regions of the Group, SABMiller Plc.; Finance Director, Rwenzori Bottling Company Ltd (a subsidiary of SABMiller Plc. in Uganda); Consultant Project Manager at Zambian Breweries PLC a subsidiary of SABMiller Plc.), Zambia. Commenting on his new appointment, Mr. Lurie said, �I am delighted to be in Ghana, and at Accra Brewery Limited especially with its commendable history.
