Gyan Still Important For Stars

GHANA LEGEND Rev. Osei Kofi insists Black Stars striker Asamoah Gyan has not gone past his prime. He consequently cautioned Ghanaians to desist from downplaying the importance of Gyan to the Black Stars. The Al Ain strikers return to the Black after a short leave had been welcomed with condemnation from a section of soccer followers. Some football pundits are even proposing that he should be ousted from the Black Stars because he had gone past his prime. But Rev. Kofi stressed Gyan is Ghanas best striker today, warning that nobody should underestimate the importance of the player. The former Kotoko wizard was of the view that the Black Stars would struggle to replace Gyan now should the attacker decide to stay out of the team. Rev. Kofi urged the teeming soccer fans in Ghana not to lambast Gyan for returning to the senior national team. Rather, he proposed that Ghanaians should welcome the attacker with open arms and give him the needed support to deliver the goods for his country.
