Deputy Director of Communications for the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Sammy Awuku, is no more addressed as a bachelor. The promising political communicator finally got married in a white wedding over the weekend at the Liberty Assemblies of God Church in Lapaz, a suburb of Accra. This was the final part of his marriage process after a traditional engagement on May Day Tuesday 1 May 2012 in private traditional marriage ceremony as the first phase to the just gone-by flamboyant wedding ceremony last Saturday July 21, 2012. The engagement ceremony which took place at the lady�s residence at Chantan, in Accra, attracted several dignitaries ranging from politicians, media personnel, statesmen, close friends and family members. At the wedding, ex-President Kufour was part of the cr�me de la cr�me of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) members who graced the ones in a life time occasion. Also present were, former Vice President Aliu Mahama, Steve Ntim, ex-Ashanti Regional Minister S.K. Boafo, ex-Trade Fair boss, NPP MP Aspirant, Ursula Owusu, Madam Esther Ofori, Assin-North Member of Parliament (MP) Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, Mrs. Agnes Okudzeto alias Daavi Ama among others. The coupled wined and dined with family and friends at a reception that followed the wedding, at the Physicians and Surgeons College at Ridge, where they gloriously cut giant cake and shared as a sign of appreciation to all present. However, New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was conspicuously missing both at the engagement ceremony and the wedding. Mr. Awuku, recently completed his law degree at Zenith University College in Accra, whiles his wife Mary Anane, is said to be a former beauty queen and presently a Banker, who currently occupies a top position at Zenith Bank.
