It Is Time For Action Not Theories - Ayariga Tells Vice President

The flagbearer of the Peoples National Convention (PNC), Mr. Hassan Ayariga, has given the Presidents nominee for vice president, Mr. Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, a comfortable 90% mark for his performance when he appeared before the Appointments Committee of Parliament yesterday. According to him, Mr. Amissah Arthur made his vision clear and answered the questions well because the members focused their questions on his profession and left the areas of his governance as a vice president. He explained that he was not happy about some of the answers given with respect to the Ghana cedi depreciation, saying it is time for action and not theories. He wondered why the cedi should depreciate, saying that stringent politics ought to be put in place. We dont need answers but solutions and though he did well about the explanation of the cedi depreciation nobody should be happy about the development. We dont want excuses but solutions because the cedi have to maintain its weight and not to depreciate, he added. Mr. Ayariga gave the above commendation in an exclusive interview with The Enquirer newspaper. He stated that the PNC government will do more to arrest the depreciation of the cedi by instituting mechanisms and policies that will allow the cedi to trade freely without any hitches to help Ghanaian businesses.
