Does Late Prez Mills Deserve Ex-Gratia..?

Some legal practitioners say the ongoing constitution review process should afford the Constitution Review Commission (CRC) the opportunity to explicitly state what happens to the gratuity of presidents who die while at post. The death of President Mills has raised concerns over whether or not he deserves gratuity and which of his family members must benefit. Some have argued that the ex-gratia of the Prof. Mills should be paid to his wife and son as well as members of his family. Although legal practitioners, Yaw Oppong and Abraham Amaliba agree that the late President deserves ex-gratia enjoyed by ex-presidents, they think explicitly stating it in the constitution will address some of these challenges.
