GES To Act On Examintion Malpractices

The Ghana Education Service says it has structures in place to inculcate integrity into students to enable them comport themselves during exams. This follows criticisms that nothing is being done by the service to prevent students from engaging in exam malpractices during national exams like the BECE and WASSCE. The West African Examination Council released provisional results of the April Basic Education Certificate Examination but over 9,000 results were withheld pending investigations into alleged malpractice and irregularities. The Deputy Director General of the Ghana education service, Stephen Adu in an interview with XYZ News, said progress will be realized soon. According to him, the GES would institute programmes to instill honesty among students which may reduce the level of examination malpractice during exams.
