Martin Amidu Must Use Common Knowledge Than Static Constitutional Views

In as much as I agreed that every society and organization must be governed by rules and regulations, it is important to always make room for exceptions. I found it rather regrettable that people within the party especially 'senior' and staunch members challenging the nomination of the president as the flag bearer for the party after the demise of the former candidate Mills. The good book postulates that "God consider the wisdom of this world as foolish". No matter what kind of constitutional clause that restricts the National Executive Committee in taking certain decisions for the party, even the National constitution is flexible on some of its provisions. On the other hand, I think this is absolutely not the time for us as 'family members' to start raising issues regarding the decision of NEC because in any case, they have not said their decision in nominating President Mahama as the flag bearer is final and that must be binding on congress. A lot of people were already geared for seeing John Mahama as the next president of Ghana after the term of president Mills. Many people know president Mahama already and Nana Akuffo Addo is no match for president Mahama because of his personality. Let us not forget that the future as well as the survival of the NDC as a political party, greatly depends on the outcome of the upcoming elections. The National Executives must take up their various responsibilities and mend up the perceive cracks and personality differences in the party before the party's campaign is launch. They should also re-consider their earlier decision on the suspension of the deputy general secretary Mr. Kofi Adams and try to dialogue privately with all interest groups. Finally, president Mahama should also consider efforts to restructure the government to ensure that everybody become part of the government. GOD BLESS OUR GREAT PARTY
