A BROTHER OF President John Dramani Mahama who is domiciling in London believes four months in political office is too short for Ghanaians to experience the full potential of the sitting Ghana leader, who is also the presidential candidate of the NDC in the coming polls. Mr. Dramani Mahama has consequently, appealed to Ghanaians to renew the mandate of the president when his current term of office expired in December this year. He was convinced that Ghanaians could make better assessment of President Mahama if they voted massively for him in the elections to govern the country for four years. My brother, just four months on the seat of the president is too short for anybody to do something magical, he said, adding, We can see his potential well if he is given s fresh four years in office. Speaking exclusively to Daily Guide in London on Saturday, Mr. Mahama stated that Ghana would be a better place to live if his brother got enough time in office to implement his better policies and programmes for the country. He was however, quick to point out that though the four months was short, President Mahama, with his exceptional managerial skills, could still make a mark for himself. Mr. Mahama noted that the sitting president, whilst as veep, was very active both locally and internationally, and that helped him acquire more knowledge. As a result, he was capable of managing the affairs of the country to perfection. According to him, President Mahama was a replicate of late President Mills, stressing that his brother possessed the late Ghana leaders humble nature and he also respected the views of all manner of people. MAHAMA CAN BEAT NANA Mr. Mahama also rubbished assertions that President Mahama was not well known among the Ghanaian electorate and therefore, the NPP Presidential Candidate, Nana Akufo Addo, could win the polls on a silver platter. He noted that his brother, during his days as MP and veep for more than three and half years, marketed himself to the people, notably, those in the hinterlands and so, he was popular. Mr. Mahama indicated that the NDC candidate could manage the affairs of the country better than what Nana Akufo Addo could do, urging the electorate to vote massively for the NDC in the elections. He noted that he had been with his brother since their childhood days at Tesano in Accra and was therefore aware of what his brother could do in earnest to develop the country to the delight of all and sundry. CHILDHOOD DAYS Mr. Mahama disclosed to DAILY GUIDE that he was the twelfth child of a family of 19 children, of which President Mahama was the fourth. According to him, though President Mahama was not the eldest child in the family, We all saw something special in him.Mr. Mahama recounted that on several occasions, their father prophesied that President Mahama would be a great person. He said President Mahama, during their childhood days, always portrayed qualities of a unifier, which touched the hearts of every member of the family.
