Apoel Nicosia To Offer Richard Kingson A Lifeline

Cyprus-based Apoel Nicosia are bent on signing veteran Ghanaian goalkeeper Richard Kingson as they seek to beef up their team this season. Kingson, 34, has been without a club since his released from Blackpool, who suffered relegation from the English Premier League two seasons ago. An Egyptian Agent is currently working things out for him and he will be playing for Apoel Nicosia barring any last minute hitch as talks are in an advanced stage, a source close to the shot-stopper revealed to Goal.com Ghana. The former Ghana number one last line of defense, who has previously played for clubs including Galatasary, Harmarby, and Wigan has been in England for close to a year now training with Wigan in order to be in shape. He was in the post for the Black Stars in all their two World Cup appearances in Germany 2006 and South Africa 2010.
