President John Dramani Mahama has promised to work very hard to ensure that all unfinished projects the late President Evans Mills started are completed. Describing himself as the luckiest Vice President ever to have been given immense opportunities by his late boss to learn extensively on the job, President Mahama said one of the many things he would do to the late President�s memory would be to work hard. Addressing a mammoth-charged crowd at the Jubilee Park in Ho last Tuesday, where he and his entourage had come to thank the people for their support to the late President, Mr Mahama said the government would not renege on its Better Ghana promises. Mentioning some of development projects his predecessor had started, the President promised to expand the University of Health and Allied Sciences and complete the Eastern Corridor road project. �The Brazilian government has given Ghana $240 million financial support for the Eastern Corridor road project. This will help speed up the project,� he said. The President promised to live by the tenets of his former boss, whom he described as a man of many parts, who was development-oriented, cool headed, forgiving and of a peaceful nature. �This was a President who never insulted people who insulted him. [...] at all times that he was attacked, he kept his cool and patience. He remained focused,� he added. He promised that this year�s general elections would be the most peaceful ever. For his part, Togbe Afedze, the paramount chief of the Asogli State, spoke of strides the region has made since 2009 when the President, then a Vice President, launched the Volta Development Plan (VDP).
