The decapitated body of a Fulani nomad in Agogo in the Ashanti has been retrieved by a joint police-military team.
Police say investigations have begun into the incident which occurred on the hills of the Agogo Afram plains.
There are indications that this latest incident follows renewed tensions between the nomads and natives over the killing of a cow for food by unknown persons.
Police PRO for the Ashanti region, Godwin Ahianyo in an interview with XYZ News said efforts are being made to protect both natives and Fulanis in Agogo.
�The command has initiated investigations into that very unfortunate incident. We have placed armed Policemen in the area trying to maintain peace and order.
�So I will tell the general public that the Police is on the ground and protecting Agogo residents and Fulanis�.
