William Tiero Eyes Black Stars Return After Eight Years In The Dark

Former Asante Kotoko midfielder William Kwabena Tiero is eyeing a return to the Black Stars setup after being in oblivion for eight years. The former Liberty Professionals player said he hopes to join Ghana at the 2013 Nations Cup. My dream is to regain my position in the Black Stars as the team prepares for next year's African Cup of Nations in South Africa and the Brazil 2014 World Cup, he told the Graphic Sports newspaper. Tiero, 31, was the favourite of former Black Stars coach Mariano Barreto and has spent most of his professional career in Portugal playing for the likes of Academica Coimbra, Guimaraes and others. He recently moved to CSKA Sofia of Bulgaria and Saudi side Al-Qadisiyah but he is now back in Portugal and has signed for SC Olhanense. The attacking midfielder who also featured for former Ghana premiership campaigners Kumapim Stars was part of the Black Meteors team that played in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.
