President John Dramani Mahama has directed the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission to take final steps towards ironing out outstanding issues regarding Public Service workers Single Spine Salary Structure. To this end, all challenges regarding the pay structure are to be addressed in the next few months. This was among many critical areas outlined by President Mahama when he presented his policy statement to the nation. Outlining a number of development projects his government hopes to achieve in the next four months, President Mahama said government will consolidate the stable macro-economic gains whilst exploring new avenues to maximize benefits. Meanwhile, the Vice President of the Ghana Journalists Association, Roland Affail Monney has described as excellent the President's delivery of the Policy Statement. He has however asked media practitioners to monitor and ensure that the President back his words with actions.
