Black Stars head coach, Kwesi Appiah has attributed his team�s lousy first half performance against Malawi on Saturday to tactical indiscipline on the part of some of his players. The Stars got off to a false start in their 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Flames at the Accra Sports Stadium, and Appiah tells GNA Sports �it was due to tactical indiscipline� for the output which saw the Malawians control the midfield. The Stars trainer admits his team was lucky not to have conceded a goal during the opening session dominated by the visitors. �They (Malawi) could have even scored a goal,� Appiah admitted. The soft-spoken coach reiterated that he had cautioned his charges on the potentials of the Flames. �I made them aware that they are a good threat if we allow them to play their game.� However, he lauded his players for the high level of professionalism which saw their turnaround. �The players are professionals and when the need arises, they will deliver.� Appiah concluded that he expects an improved performance from his charges in the second leg scheduled for the weekend of October 12-14 in Blantyre.
