NDC May Lose Lower Manya Seat Because Of Teye Nyaunu Const. Organizer

The Constituency Organizer of the NDC in the lower Manya constituency in the Eastern Region, Robert Teye has expressed deep fears that the NDC will lose the Lower Manya seat if President John Mahama does not personally intervene. This according to him is due to the decision by the incumbent MP, Michael Teye Nyaunu to contest as an independent candidate. Michael Teye Nyaunu lost his bid to represent the constituency in Parliament on the ticket of the NDC during the last primaries organized by the party. The party organizer, Robert Teye told Citi News, all it not well as the incumbent has the support of some of the NDC constituency executives. We have serious problems in this constituency because we have a new candidate representing the NDC while the incumbent is also standing as an independent candidate for the same seat which is a very serious threat to the party. If things are left as it is now, Im afraid we will lose the seat totally, he explained. He mentioned that he is a close associate to the incumbent MP and he has similar associates like me so since President Mahama said at congress that he will unite the party, I am asking him to come down and prevent a split in the votes for the NDC come December.
