Sekou Nkrumah Is Politically Immature - Monah

The General Secretary of the Peoples National Convention (PNC), Bernard Monah has taken a swipe at Sekou Nkrumah, the son of Ghanas first President, for alleging that he is being sponsored by a leading member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). Mr Nkrumah has alleged that a leading member of the ruling party David Lamptey is sponsoring the Parliamentary ambition of the PNC scribe, who is seeking to contest the Wa Central seat in the Upper West region. Mr. Monah in an interview with Citi News however said the allegations are unfounded. He explained that as a political person, I will go to anybody including you to seek support so for anybody to say that my friendship with one person or another means that the person is responsible for my political ambition, I consider that person not politically mature. Is it a crime to get sponsorship to somebody? Let Sekou know that when his father returned from the United States of America, he did not come to Ghana with a portfolio of money. It took his fathers ingenuity to raise money from all sources to be able to finance his agenda, he added. Mr. Mornah described Sekou Nkrumahs allegations as infantile thoughts and political naivety as people seeking political positions do not sponsor their campaigns with their personal finances. He, however, stressed that I will go to people who believe in me that I will be a capable person to be in Parliament. But what I will not do is to compromise my principles because of sponsorship. If you sponsor me, I will take.
