Ghanaians urged to encourage peaceful elections

The Country Director of the Peace Corps, Michael Koffman, has urged Ghanians to respect the will of "the people", in the up-coming Presidential elections. He said the country had so far impressed the global community by standing out as a beacon of democracy. Speaking at the inauguration of a new office for the UN Peace Corps in Ghana, Mr. Koffman said it was the aim of the UN Peace Corps to harness the energies of all who would lend themselves towards the progress of the nation. He said the new office would enable the Peace-Corps to do do their work more effectively.
