The Annual Conference of the Democratic Union of Africa is underway in Accra. The Conference, which is being hosted by the opposition New Patriotic Party, NPP, has brought together some Centre Right Opposition Parties in Africa and Europe to deliberate on the way forward for opposition parties that share centre right ideals. Opening the Conference, the presidential candidate of the NPP, Nana Akuffo Addo, said contrary to the perception that the philosophy of centre right parties is elitist, it represents the best hope for Africa.
