I remember when there was power rationing during the Kufuor administration, Kwesi Pratt and his now defunct CJA, were shouting all over the place that the crisis was as a result of lack of foresight by Kufuor. Kofi Adda, the then energy minister, was virtually hounded out of office by persistent malicious criticisms by people like Kwesi Pratt and his cohorts. Dr.Charles Wereko-Brobbey,that Kwesi Pratt today describes as a �criminal� over Ghana@50 saga, was then a super hero who became an instant reference point, each time Kwesi wanted to insult Kufuor over the power crisis after Wereko-Brobbey had described containerized power generation plants brought in to augment our power generation capacity, as �toy machines�. So, what will say Kwesi about his darling Chavez who is currently superintending over suffering and impending economic catastrophe in a nation with such enormous oil potential? On the issue of North Korea, the little said about it, the better. This is a country that Kwesi has been constantly drumming into our ears that they are one of the world�s leading manufacturers of tractors. Yet; citizens of this country suffer from perennial famine and are always looking malnourished. As a matter of fact, North Koreans are constantly making perilous boarder crossings into China as economic migrants. Why do we never hear of South Koreans defecting to North Korea but the reverse has always been the case? Paradoxically, the current North Korean leader Kim Jon-Un whose father, the late Kim Jon-Il jettisoned everything western was educated in a Switzerland university!!Now, this is what I will describe as �rabid-Hippocratic-socialism�. Examples of such hypocrisy actually abound here in Ghana where the loudest proponents of socialism send their children on holidays in Britain and America during school vacations. It has even become a common practice, these days, for Ghana�s fictitious social democrats to abandon the health institutions they have destroyed since taking power in 2008,to travel abroad to deliver their �better Ghana� babies. We even have medical doctors in the current administration who have absolutely no confidence in the health delivery system under their own noses and have therefore decided to bundle their expectant wives and concubines abroad to deliver their isofotonic babies. Potentially, North Korea is said to be one of the world�s richest in terms of mineral resources. However, proceeds from the exploitation of these mineral resources are largely invested in armaments and nuclear programmes to the detriment of general economic well-being of the citizenry. Early this year, North Korean Navy torpedoed a South Korean ship, without any provocation, and murdered 46 sailors. The North Koreans, initially, denied being behind the sinking of the South Korean Submarine. However, after extensive investigations by independent bodies, a propeller of a torpedo found embedded in the sunken ship had some inscriptions which were all in the North Korean language. The South Koreans complain about this and the North said the complaint from the South amounts to �a declaration of war�. Again, South Korea which is an independent country, decides to embark on a legitimate military exercise with the Americans, and that is also described as a declaration of war by the North Koreans and even goes ahead to threaten to strike the south with nuclear weapons. Indeed, this North Korean behavior can best be described as �he who is down fears no fall�. This is a nation that is perpetually on its knees as a result of everlasting famine; therefore, they have absolutely nothing to lose by hurriedly running to the battlefield just to destroy what others have toiled for decades, to build. On Cuba, one may say they have made a lot of �advancements� in the areas of education and health. But, the notion that all Cubans enjoy free medical care is a complete lie since those who are considered affluent (by Cuban standards) actually pay through their noses!! Average monthly wage of a Cuban worker is $20 which a very hard-working �kayaye�, in Ghana, can earn in a day. This is the reality on the ground in Cuba but NPP communicators sat aloof, in 2008, for nation wreckers and gaping sycophants as Kwesi Pratt, Tony Aidoo and Raymond Archer to use their abuse-laden programme on Radio Gold to lie their way back into power!!! Head of the Catholic Church in Cuba, Cardinal Jaime Ortega, 73, has said that people were openly talking about the deficiencies in Cuba's socialist system, calling it a Stalinist-style bureaucracy producing apathetic workers and low productivity, (bbcworldservice/news/caribbean). Again, on the morning of 14th September, 2010 500,000 Cuban state employees were laid off. The report further stated that over 1million state employees were going to be laid off, ultimately, in order to restructure their rapidly crumbling socialist system of governance where the citizenry have been made to do away with their individual God-given talents in pursuance of a dead-end ideology that delude the people into thinking that God created human-being as robots, and that, we must all think and behave in the same fashion. And for those who may not be aware, there exist between America and Cuba, an accord that enjoins the Cuban government to curb the flow of �Cuban boat people� to the coasts of Florida in the U.S.A.Now, let this existing accord be abolished today, and Cuba will be emptied of its people. However, Kwesi Pratt (a self acclaimed rabid socialist) has been using mobile phones for decades, driving gleaming 4-wheel drives,�Wabenzies�(Benz cars) and has been quoting CNN and BBC reports to support his arguments, since the days of Nana Kwamena Ansah(the chief of Elmina) at the time Europeans arrived on the shores of Gold- Coast. Indeed, I have never heard Kwesi Pratt quoting from �The Granma� (official mouth-piece of Castro�s revolution) or any official news agency of North Korea or Venezuela to support his arguments. When it comes to civil liberties, Cubans suffer the worse form of suppression in many areas. People have no freedom of choice when it comes to political leaders and those who dare speak their minds on how the nation should be governed, are either thrown into jail and the keys thrown away or are simply chased out into forced-exile.it was quiet recently that Cubans were allowed to use mobile phones and some limited access to the internet. It was the Catholic Church, in collaboration with the Spanish government that recently brokered a deal with the Cuban government for the release of some 52 political prisoners. Cubans who hold divergent views to that of the ruling hierarchy are described, rather erroneously, as �dissidents�. And even with this release, some 115 are still being held behind bars as political prisoners. Didn�t the whole of the people of the former East Germany pour into West Germany after the re-unification? Let the de-militarized zone (DMZ) currently existing between the two Koreas be removed, and the whole of the North will simply �vapourise� to the South. Where then lies the future of socialism? The state of affairs in these above mentioned countries is definitely not worth boasting about and Kwesi Pratt and his ilk must give us a break from their cacophonous effusions in support of socialism. Indeed, Ghanaians have constantly been scratching their heads in total mystification, as to why children of Kwesi Pratt and his bunch of pseudo-socialists travel to only Britain and America, but, not any of these socialist countries. Again, Kwesi Pratt and all members of now defunct CJA are cruising around on the streets of Accra in �Wabenzies� (aristocratic Benz vehicles), lustrous 4�4 pick-up trucks and Toyota Land-cruisers while their �chop-chop� CJA fingers are always drenched with juicy government largesse. Now, with such lavish lifestyles of Kwesi Pratt and his bunch of �chop-chop� charlatans, they certainly cannot describe themselves as socialists (if this ideology even exists). This shameless �nkwan deewa� charlatans can rather best be described as Champaign-socialists who love to enjoy purest form of capitalism behind closed-doors and openly eulogize purest form of Marxism before their illiterate followers.
