Rawlings Angry With NDCWrites To National Chair & Prez Mahama

Impeccable sources have disclosed to peacefmonline.com that Former President Jerry John Rawlings is not enthused with the lack of respect and due courtesies shown to his high office by the hierarchy of the ruling National Democratic Congress. Peacefmonline.com can authoritatively confirm that the NDCs Founder, with barely a few hours to the launch of the partys much-publicized Manifesto, does not have a copy of the Policy Statement, neither is he privy to the contents thereof. Yours truly can also boldly state that the former President was handed an invite to the launch of the partys manifesto scheduled for today (Thursday) in Ho, in the Volta Region only yesterday (Wednesday), and it is quite obvious the letter inviting Mr Rawlings to the function was prepared in haste because it was dated September 2, 2012 and the event was erroneously scheduled for September 4, eventhough we are in the month of October. An official correspondence from Mr Rawlings office to the partys National Chairman, Dr Kwabena Adjei, which is copied to His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama, stumbled upon by peacefmonline, expresses grave reservations over the manner the NDC Founder is invited to meetings and events involving the party. The statement, signed by Captain H. Afeku- Amenyo (Rtd) of the Ghana Navy, who is the Director, Office of Former President, described as impudent, the deliberate use of the former Presidents name to advertise, such events when he has either no invitation or confirmed his attendance at such events and urged party officials to crosscheck His Excellencys receipt and acceptance of such invitations before the public is misled into believing that he is attending such events.
