The former spokesperson to late President Mills, Mr. Koku Anyidoho is calling on the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party to set realistic targets since his free SHS policy can�t be implemented under his watch as president. In an exclusive revelation made by Mr. Anyidoho at the NDC�s manifesto launch which was held at the Jubilee Pack in Ho, the director of communications at the Presidency bewailed as to whether Nana Akuffo Addo would add freebies such as sanitary pads for ladies to use at schools during their menstrual periods. �In fact two days ago, a niece of mine asked me...�Uncle Koku so this free SHS thing, is Nana Akuffo Addo telling us that, I will walk into a dormitory and go and meet a trunk and a chop box full of provisions, as well as books? So does it mean daddy and mummy will not pay a pesewa? Uncle Koko, so I have just begun to� have my period, will I be provided with free sanitary pads as well?� ...and this is a young niece of mine�, Mr. Anyidoho proudly said. Mr. Anyidoho further accused the New Patriotic Party of creating a monster out of the secondary educational system when they changed the Senior High School to four years and added no infrastructure to support it. �It took the NDC to come back�come and reverse that problem and begin to put in place heavy infrastructure to solve the infrastructure problem on the campuses. Here in the Volta Region for an example, when we came we had about 279 schools under trees�in three and half years, about 253 of those schools have been turned into brick and mortar facilities�, Mr. Anyidoho pinpointed.
