President Mahama Asks Ghanaians To Keep Faith With His Administration

President Mahama has asked all well meaning Ghanaians to keep faith with his administration because there are more developments in the pipeline. President stated this when he inaugurated a two storey 300 bed capacity girls dormitory for the Mawuli School as well as OLA Girls Senior High School. President Mahama stated that when it comes to issues of education, the NDC is unrivaled. He said during the first NDC government, 119 Senior High Schools were built not to mention others that have already been started. President Mahama also promised a Public University for the Eastern Region to create more opportunities for tertiary education. President Mahama also indicated moves to revamp the Juapong Volta Star Textile Limited. He said government is looking for a strategic partner to invest in the company. The Volta Star Textile Limited is a major source of employment for the people of Juapong, but has in recent times grounded to a halt leaving about 300 people redundant. He also assured the people of the construction of the Dorfor-Marfi-Adidome road. He said the road construction has been placed under the eastern corridor road project for which funding has already been secured. The President made whistle stops at Frankadua, Peki Avetile and Kpeve. At all these places he reiterated government's commitment to bringing development to the people. Meanwhile, all is set for the manifesto launch of the NDC in Ho for this year's elections. Streetlight poles especially those on the principal streets have been decorated with the party's colours and some private and commercial vehicles are also seen flying the party's flags in the regional capital. In an interview, the Volta Regional Secretary of the party, Simon Amegashie-Viglo said the manifesto will outline the main targets of the NDC government for 2012 -2016 and strategies for achieving those targets.
