Takoradi NPP Women Battle Ready

THE WOMENS Wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at Cassava Farm electoral area in Takoradi has declared its readiness to campaign fully for Nana Akufo-Addo to ensure a-one-touch victory for the partys flag bearer in the December general elections. We are poised to conduct house-to-house campaigns to explain to the electorate, particularly women, why they should reject John Mahama and his NDC government and vote for Nana Addo and all NPP parliamentary candidates in the upcoming elections, the women said. Speaking to Daily Guide after the inauguration of the womens wing, Josephine Quartey, President of the group tasked the women to campaign for Nana and the partys parliamentary candidate for Takoradi, Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah. She indicated that the move would give the electorate a better understanding of the NPPs policies and programmes as well as its candidates and what they stood for. She called on the women to forge ahead in unity and do away with backbiting which had the tendency of disintegrating the rank and file of the NPP. She observed that a wind of victory was blowing and the NPP was on its way to the Jubilee house, hence the need to double their efforts to ensure it became a reality. Hajia Sawdatu, NPP Takoradi Constituency Womens Organizer commended women in the area for projecting Nana Akufo-Addo and the pragmatic policies of the NPP government when it was in power. She urged them to do more to ensure that Nana and Mr. Darko-Mensah won massively in the constituency on December 7. Embark on house-to-house campaigns to ensure that our party gets more votes for a resounding victory for Nana Akufo-Addo, she said. She noted that it was now glaring that Ghanaians were fed up with the inhumane policies of the NDC government and that there was no way the electorate would give them their mandate for another four years. She therefore charged the women to intensify their membership drive at the grass root level to win over more people to the party.
