President Mahama Commended On His Commitment To Peaceful Elections

The Paramount Chief of the Lawra Traditional Area, Naa Puowele Karbo, has commended President John Dramani Mahama for publicly declaring his commitment to ensuring free, fair, transparent and peaceful elections in December. The Paramount Chief appealed to Ghanaians to complement the President's efforts by being tolerant and refraining from the use of intemperate language, as the elections approached. Naa Karbo was speaking at the celebration of this years� Kob-bine festival of the chiefs and people of the Lawra Traditional Area in the Lawra District of the Upper West Region. In addition, President Mahama says he is optimistic that Ghana can only get better, given the blessings God has bestowed on the country. President Mahama said this when he joined the Word Miracle Church International, to celebrate its 25th Anniversary at Dzorwulu. He called on the church and the nation at large, to cultivate the spirit of optimism. This he said is the only way Ghana can appreciate her successes and build on them.
