Veteran Journalist and Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper Kwesi Pratt Jnr has promised to continue critically assessing the credentials of the Progressive People�s Party�s presidential candidate, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, despite threats of �exposure� by some leading members of the PPP. In particular, he has dared the Communications Director of the PPP, Richmond Keelson and anybody else who has anything damaging against him spanning his �well over 30 years of public life� to stop threatening and go ahead to make such information public. Mr Pratt laid the gauntlet down on Adom FM�s Dwaso Nsem morning show of Thursday October 11, 2012 while commenting on a pledge by PPP flagbearer Papa Kwesi Nduom to publicly declare his assets and also create jobs for the ordinary Ghanaian in an earlier interview on the show. The Insight Editor punched holes in Dr Nduom�s submission as well as his party�s manifesto pledges, insisting that a public declaration of assets was already required under the Constitution and the PPP had nothing new to offer Ghanaians. However, the PPP Communications Director took exception to Mr Pratt�s comments. In a text message to show host Adakabre Frimpong Manso, Richmond Keelson warned Mr Pratt to stay clear of his flagbearer or face the consequences. A charged Kwesi Pratt responded: �I don�t know why Richmond thinks that he can threaten anybody. If he wants he should start it. We will examine every detail of Kwesi Nduom and at the end of the day the public will make up their mind as to who has integrity. He is welcome to join the public debate. Why, is anybody afraid of an open contest about the integrity of our candidates and so on?... �All of us have been restraining ourselves because of a number of reasons�. But you have somebody like Richard (sic) Keelson issuing threats all the time. If I show you my phone, you will see text messages he has sent to me, (saying) �we will expose you, we will do that.� Go ahead and expose whatever you know! Go ahead and expose whatever you know, and see the consequences on your flagbearer. He is welcome to it, no problem at all. It will be very interesting.� Asked by the host why Keelson�s actions would affect his flagbearer, Mr Pratt responded: �There is nothing to expose. I have been in public life for well over 30 years, and there is nothing to expose. But if he wants to engage in a smear campaign, he will be met with true facts.�
