PHOTOS: Miss Malaika@10 Finalists Hit The Runway

Gradually the miss Malaika@10 is cruising to the end; the delegates last week preformed their final task for the competition. They had a fashion show where they tasked to shop for less, wear swim suits and a vintage and a contemporary clothes which was sponsored ATL fabrics. The delegates were paired into twos and came up with designs for the vintage and contemporary for each other delegate. The designers for this task were Tony Black Couture, B-Pure, Afriken Novelty, Jill Hana, Nkaya and Rovon The first round of the fashion show was the shop for less, where the delegates visited Stacys Boutique to shop for less time and money. The main idea behind the shop for less is put together clothes that every lady would be able to afford. They were to shop within five minutes which we all know its impossible for young ladies to shop within five minutes however some delegates did marvelously well and finished within the given time others also struggled to finish within the given time. The second round saw the delegates come on stage with their beach wears. Although the beach wear round was challenging for some delegates because they had to reveal some part of their body, all delegates came confidently on stage and the audience cheered them on. The last round was the vintage and contemporary, this round saw the delegates wearing clothes that were worn when they were not born because vintage clothes date as far back as 1920s whiles contemporary clothes are what are in vogue now. The judges for the fashion show were Hammamat Montia, a past queen of Miss Malaika and Joselyn Dumas an actress and tv presenter. They judged the delegates on the shop for less round looking out for their own fashion sense. As they saying goes you cannot get everything, some delegates received good reviews from the judges and others came close. The delegates are currently in Namibia and South Africa which was sponsored by Air Namibia and are taking it easy before next weeks grand finale at the Dome, Accra International Conference Centre come 27th October.
