The Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Kwabena Adjei, has presented the nomination forms of the party�s presidential ticket to the Electoral Commission. The party�s flagbearer, President John Mahama, who is expected to participate in this evening�s IEA Presidential Encounter, was not at the offices of the EC due to his busy schedule. Dr. Kwabena Adjei promised to ensure that the NDC adheres to the electoral rules for a peaceful atmosphere. Meanwhile, the flagbearer of the Convention�s People�s Party (CPP) Dr. Abu Sakara Foster has been asked by the EC to go back and correct an anomaly on the nomination forms in relation to the picture. Dr. Sakara was at the EC office a few minutes after 10:00AM but asked to go back and rectify the mistake on the form before it will be accepted. Meanwhile, the first female presidential candidate in the December polls, Akua Donkor, is expected to file her nomination later today. She told XYZ News that she is already on her way to the EC headquarters to present her forms.
