Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Akufo-Addo has commented on his position on the 2012 ballot paper indicating that it does not matter where a candidate is placed but rather the message the candidate carries to the electorates.
According to Nana Addo, �so long as I'm on the ballot I think that�s what matters. The last time I was number one I didn't win, former president Mills then was number three and he won. This time I am number three hopefully that�s a sign that I would win.
�But I don�t really think that where you are on the ballot really matters very much. We�ve seen it, people have won from different places on the ballot.
"President Kufuor won from the bottom... I really don�t think that is significant, what is significant is the message that you�re giving and how people are responding to that message.
Speaking to journalists after wrapping up his tour of the Brong Ahafo region Nana Addo intimated that �as far as that aspect of things are going, I�m very happy where we are at this stage of the campaign. We just had a rousing reception all over Brong Ahafo and this is largely because of the big disappointment of the NDC and secondly a sense of what we�re offering them.
"The school education policies, our health policy, our policies on the economic expansion and industrialization, all those things are messages that are going down well with the people and I�m counting on that to take us through.�
Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP are placed third on the ballot paper for the 2012 elections with the NDC taking the first position and the GCPP taking the second slot.
