NPP Is A Chronic Capitalist Party Dr. Tony Aidoo

The Head of Policy Monitoring and Evaluation Unit at the Presidency, Dr. Tony Aidoo, has accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of using its eight year term in government to practice chronic capitalism. According to Dr. Tony Aidoo, the NPP has a track record of lying to the good people of Ghana via their manifestos in order to score cheap political points. He said this on Radio Golds Current Affairs Program, Alhaji and Alhaji on Saturday. Dr. Aidoo indicated that the National Subsidy Code promised by the NPPs 2000 manifesto which sort to protect local industries on import duties was a failure. He added that the Venture Capital Fund, under the NPP, which gave loans to party faithfuls, was not successful because the beneficiaries refused to pay back the loans. On the policy of promoting the growth of agriculture, Dr. Aidoo noted that Nana Akuffo-Addos promise of food security and equipping the shear nut industry has been achieved by the NDC already. Dr. Tony Aidoo further cautioned political parties who are voted into government to desist from using loans from donor countries intended for a particular project to pursue other projects which seek to satisfy their selfish needs.
