CAF Fines Berekum Chelsea For Playing 'Dirty' Against Ahly

Berekum Chelsea have been fined $5000 for their unsporting behaviour in the 4-1 defeat to Al Ahly in the CAF Champions League. The decision made by CAF�s Disciplinary body is to punish the Ghanaian club for their �dirty� play against the Egyptian giants on August 4. Chelsea had left-back Richard Kissi Boateng sent off in their only defeat suffered in the Blues� maiden African campaign. Defenders Eric Agyemang and Awudu Nafiu received yellow cards with midfielder Jordan Opoku also getting booked in the closing stages of the game. It is readily unknown the stipulated time within which the Berekum-based side are expected to pay the fine which has been communicated to them through the Ghana FA. The 2010 Ghana Premier League champions narrowly missed out on the semi finals haven thrilled many with their silky brand of football.
